Commissioner Alecia M. Wells was
appointed to the Commission by Former Governor Roy L.
Schneider, MD. in 1998. Governor Charles W. Turnbull, Ph.D.
recently reappointed her to the Commission to serve a term
which will expire in 2008.
Commissioner Wells is an active member of the National Association of
Regulatory Utility Commissioners (NARUC) and the Mid-Atlantic
Conference of Regulatory Utilities Commissioners (MACRUC)serving on such
committees as Telecommunications, and International
Affairs. In addition Commissioner Wells is also a member
of the newly founded Organization of Caribbean Utility
Regulators (OOCUR).
An educator, Alecia has served as
classroom instructor, Acting Principal and Deputy
Superintendent. She has attended a plethora of training to
better assist her in her duties as Commissioner.
