 Commissioner M. Thomas Jackson  

 Commissioner M. Thomas Jackson was appointed to the Commission by former Governor Charles W. Turnbull PhD. in August of 2006 to serve a three year term. Commissioner Jackson is a proud alumni of the Central High School on the Island of St. Croix where he currently resides. Shortly after receiving his high school diploma, Jackson was drafted into the United States Army, and served the greater part of his two year obligation in the Republic Of Viet Nam.  He holds a degree in Police Science and Administration from the University of the Virgin Islands. Commissioner Jackson is a Retired Police Lieutenant with the Virgin Islands Police Department. Since his retirement from the police force Commissioner Jackson has held various positions in the public service arena; however he ultimately developed his love of photography into a successful and well awarded career where he specializes in investigative, medical and personal photography.  His new role has landed him on the pages of Who’s  Who in Legal Photography, in addition he received a  Master Photographer certification 2002 Honorary Award Of Excellence Title ( Master Photographer Regnant ). These credentials make Commissioner Jackson one of the top choices in the Territory for Legal photography assignments. Commissioner Jackson’s personal philosophy is: Not too late to learn, not too late to start if you are motivated to do so.
